ultimate goal weight is a normal bmi so anywhere between 91-92 and 123-124 (bmi: 18.5-24.9) thought being over it with more muscle doesn't bug me much!
losing it five pounds at a time. currently focusing on getting my bmi out of the obese range and getting into size 10/12 jeans.
started the process of getting very light brown/dark blonde hair
on the 1-12 hair level scale (very black to white blonde) i’m naturally in between a 3 (dark brown) and a 4 (medium brown).
i’d like to get around a 6 (dark blonde, especially the ashy tones), so anywhere between a very light 5 (light brown) and a very dark 7 (medium blonde) would make me happy.
and i don’t want to bleach my hair.
it’s only about 2.5 shades up from my natural color, so it’s totally doable with a few spaced out rounds of at home hair dye.
so today was my first round.
i bought l’oreal superior preference in 6-light brown in a natural hue (as opposed to warm, which adds red and gold tones and cool which neutralizes them; natural just changes the color overall and tries to keep your natural hues whether they are warm or cool…i am a warm toned girl and i want a bit of a cool blonde). that’s about a 5 on the 1-12 scale (at home dyes usually use a different scale of 1-10). it’s about 2 shades up from my natural hair color, and i left it on for 45 minutes rather than 25 like the box says.
it worked pretty well. it’s not very noticeable, but i moved about 1.5 shades up. it was more noticeable when my hair was wet. it was the color my natural hair is dry (my natural hair color is usually black wet). my dad said he thought my hair looked more uniform but couldn’t see that it was lighter. we don’t have great lighting in our house so i hope to see a difference in the sunlight tomorrow.
even though they say not to shampoo for 24 hours because it will fade, i plan to use clarifying shampoo in the morning (about 12 hours later) because, much like the OMG MY HAIR IS BLACK dishsoap principle, it helps “lighten” the dye color and fades it out. i used a permanent dye and the chemicals in that take some of your natural tone out, even if you dye it a color close to your natural tone. the clarifying shampoo should help take some of the tone it added out and show more of how it took the natural tone out (if that makes sense).
afterward i’ll use the conditioner they gave me.
during the week, i’m going to use a LOT less shampoo than usual and then use the aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner (it really is GREAT) every day.
i hope to REALLY deep conditioner my hair for a few hours on saturday.
if it all works out, next sunday, i will be using the other dye i bought which is l’oreal 7.5A medium ash blonde. it is a cooler, dark blonde color that i hope will work out nicely.
then i’ll deep condition, deep condition, deep condition and try to be good to my hair until i need to touch up the roots.
if this all goes super wrong, i will dye my hair back to a close color (some type of warm dark brown) and then literally never dye my hair again.
great new reason to get down to size 12
i’m down a pair of size 14 (thighs split open. big shocker there) and i can’t afford new ones!
but i’ve got several pairs of 12s!
discovered i like regular folger’s coffee (black) tonight
i have never really liked coffee. but i quite liked it.
maybe i’ve found a replacement for my cola addiction? 2 calories, a little healthier? and the same caffeine?
we shall see.
So inspiring!
She has been one of my favorite blogs for such a long time, but she hasn’t updated in foreverrr! I really miss her posts all over my dash :(

got on the scale this morning
had been 182.6 every single morning for the past like 3.5 weeks.
was 182.0 today :)
haven’t updated much. both my parents are working full time now so they are taking advantage of me as a house keeper. and then on top of that i was looking for a temporary full time job, which was a full time job in and of itself! finally found one as a month-long nanny. should be fun, because its 3pm-11pm. and those are my best hours. plus i can still go to bed late and wake up late like i like to do.
let’s break through 180, yeah?
i haven’t been posting much lately
been busy working on some crafts to sell/give as gifts.
my dad got a full time job so i’ve been doing some chores around the house for my mom and taking care of our pets.
i’ve been working on my spanish and doing some research.
i’ve been trying to find a job. i applied for a full time nanny position tonight that i hope to maybe get until i go back to school in january.
my parents got chinese
and i got veggie lo mein! :) felt pretty good about that choice
watching my jets whip jacksonville’s butts!
then going to get my haircut at 3
i forgot to do a grocery haul!
i actually did make some good choices!
- oreos (are vegan!)
- low-fat ice cream
- ground turkey (made 6 patties out of it!)
- boneless, skinless chicken breast tenderloins
- applesauce
- cold cut turkey and ham
- low-fat cheddar jack for some quesadillas like i ate last night
- turkey bacon
- multi-grain bread
- tempura breading!
- string beans (so i can make a healthy version of the TGIFriday’s string bean fries using the tempura breading!)
and probably a few things i’ve forgotten
all right i’ve finally put together a work out schedule
i never really had one. which i don’t suggest! because i never had a goal of what to get done that day. but the day i did the 8 minutes videos last week i felt it a lot!
so here’s what i’m thinking:
SUNDAY
- rest
MONDAY
- 8 minute abs
- 8 minute arms
- cardio - treadmill
TUESDAY
- 8 minute abs
- 8 minute legs
- cardio - elliptical
WEDNESDAY
- 8 minute abs
- 8 minute buns
- cardio - dance/circuit
THURSDAY
- 8 minute abs
- 8 minute arms
- cardio - treadmill
FRIDAY
- 8 minute abs
- 8 minute legs
- cardio - elliptical
SATURDAY
- 8 minute abs
- 8 minute buns
- cardio - dance/circuit
and then everyday the warm up would be 10 minutes on the elliptical and POP Pilates stretching for flexibility and the cool down will be 10 Minute Solutions Yoga.
starting today i’ll try this out for a week!
Updated my before and now. 200lbs+ to 115lbs. I am 5’2.
